20 People Operations Experts You'll Want to Work With
At Want to Work There, we know just how tough it can be to find a trusted expert exactly when you need them. We also happen to know (and have worked directly with) a lot of exceptionally talented people in the people and culture space. This is especially true since launching our our Training for the Modern Manager program, which has provided us the opportunity to work with folks from a wide range of industries and company stages.
Given our newsletter is focused on delivering practical, actionable advice for creating better workplaces, we often get referral requests from those in our community looking for help with things like compensation strategies, onboarding, performance management, and more. It recently hit us that we should create a central place to share those recommendations publicly - which is exactly where you’ve landed!

What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I'm pretty boring, honestly! I am obsessed with work. I set up my first company at 23, and have been a Founder/Co-Founder since. I can't switch off.
Outside of work, I have 3 young boys under 6 which keeps me super busy, but I'm loving reliving my childhood through them!
Generally a huge movie, sports & coffee fan. (original right? I did warn you I was boring…)

What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I help organizations bridge the communication gap between leadership’s vision and employees’ day-to-day experience by turning strategy into action. Many companies struggle with internal communication that feels disjointed, unclear, or misaligned with their culture and goals. I specialize in creating strategic communication frameworks that don’t just inform but engage employees and drive real change. Whether it’s guiding leadership on messaging during major transitions, improving information flow, or aligning teams around shared objectives, I ensure communication becomes a tool for clarity, trust, and measurable business success.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I'm happiest when lost in a good novel, preferably with a chai latte in hand, zero interruptions, and my dog keeping my feet warm.
I'm an introvert who thrives on deep conversations with new people—small talk, not so much.
I’m a meticulous planner except when I travel. I pick the destination and let the rest unfold as I go.

What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I make employee surveys less scary‚ both hitting 'send' and figuring out what to do with the responses.
There’s a clear gap in HR training relating to employee engagement, and I’m proud to be helping close it. This summer, I created the Rinse Repeat ASIE Framework‚ a practical approach to driving engagement that works no matter your industry, company size, or stage of growth.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I’m a daily cold plunger‚ yes, on purpose. It’s both my reset button and my secret weapon for tackling the day.
I geek out over string theory and anything related to quantum physics. The deeper the paradox, the more I love it.
My kids and I make homemade music videos in front of our green screen. It’s equal parts creative, chaotic, and completely hilarious.

✈️ May be open to on-site client visits, depending on circumstances.
What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I love making workplaces work for everyone by helping Talent Teams and leaders become intentionally inclusive. My passion lies in identifying equity and accessibility gaps in HR processes, then designing practical, tailor-made solutions teams can implement right away.
I also love creating highly customized training programs that transform how organizations approach inclusion and equity—moving beyond theory to real, easy-to-follow, actionable steps everyone in the organization can follow.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I'm a book-reading machine! Every year I set a 100-book goal and somehow always end up adding "just one more" to my TBR list 🤓
You'll find me at Comic Con every year, probably geeking out about Star Wars or hunting for the perfect addition to my Funko Pop collection! 🦸♀️
I have an uncanny ability to find the perfect reaction gif for any situation. It's like my superpower—though I'm still waiting for Marvel to call! 😉

✈️ May be open to on-site client visits, depending on circumstances.
What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I love solving the disconnect between people and process. When clunky systems, unclear workflows, or rigid policies get in the way of employees doing their best work—or HR teams spend more time fighting the process than serving people—I get to work. I thrive on streamlining the chaos, designing processes that actually serve the humans behind the work, while keeping the business running smoothly.
I also love helping teams get unstuck from unproductive patterns—whether that’s siloed work, communication breakdowns, or “the way we’ve always done it” thinking. Bringing people together, creating clarity, and restoring connection fuels my work. Watching a team rediscover momentum and start moving forward together is the best kind of win.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I’m a drama queen - literally (difference is - I own it). I’ve been a vocalist my entire life, have done voice-over work for anime, run karaoke shows, streamed performances online (in SecondLife I go by the name Taunter Goodnight), and perform on stage in musicals and operas (yes, there is an IMDB page with my name).
I’m addicted to British mystery/detective shows. I have subscriptions to both BritBox and AcornTV.
I’m someone who’d rather vacation in a foreign city with sightseeing and cafes than lie on a beach or visit a tropical location.

What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I love solving the problem of messy, inefficient, or non-existent systems that hold businesses back. Nothing is more satisfying to me than transforming a chaotic process into a streamlined, automated, and easy-to-use system that makes life so much easier for my clients and their teams.
The solutions I create allow my clients to take on more work, impress their clients, and keep their team running smoothly - without stress or sacrificing quality.

What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
There are specific scale-up milestones that leadership teams need to nail but might not have experienced before such as: hyper growth, c-suite conflict, mergers, acquisitions, restructures and other high stress, high impact events. If these aren’t managed effectively from a comms, culture and change perspective, then the business suffers. I help de-risk these.

What is a problem you love solving for your clients?
I get excited about complex career and leadership dilemmas for neurodivergent professionals and organizations that want to be more inclusive. i.e.
Helping clients navigate career transitions & growth and especially people who "feel" stuck (note - not “are” stuck)—whether it’s due to structural barriers (reorganizations, unclear paths), internal struggles (perfectionism, burnout), or external limitations (lack of recognition, being in the wrong role). I help them gain clarity, advocate for themselves, and make strategic moves that align with their values.
From a corporate lens - improving workplace inclusion beyond just "Accommodations". I've never been just interested in checking the DEI box (hence me exiting my corporate role in 2021)—I really try to push companies and leaders to rethink how they engage neurodivergent employees. I help them shift from “How do we accommodate?” to “How do we leverage neurodivergent strengths?” That’s a much more powerful and strategic reframing, right?
Executive function & leadership development for neurodivergent professionals who are high-achieving and who struggle with time management, delegation, and burnout—often because they’ve been conditioned to overcompensate in neurotypical work environments. I help them develop sustainable strategies for leadership success without masking or overworking themselves.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I'm a Scorpio and I OWN it! Scorpios are intense, strategic, and deeply intuitive...it is a strength, but also a curse. I'm not here for small talk (probably my auntie side)—I crave depth, authenticity, and transformation in myself and others.
I'm loyal but selective, and can read people fast and more so what they are not showing vs. what they are. I was told that people feel seen in ways they weren’t expecting when I engage with them. In my coaching sessions, the feedback I get most often - "I feel safe when I'm in a session with you".
Oh...I climb mountains—literally and metaphorically!

I NERD OUT about supporting individuals and teams through opportunities for change and transformation. Gimme weird office politics, or new team culture, or organizational upheaval, and I'm psyched to find clarity, structure, and progress with and for you.
What is something (or a few things) we should all know about you?
I'm obsessed with indie bookstores because I'm voracious reader. I'm always looking for recommendations, especially if it's a title that has meant something to you (because then, I get to know you differently)
My taste in podcasts runs macabre: true crime, weird illness, medical history, strange and unexplained things -- Learning about the darker side of the world helps me find and appreciate the light and joyful more.
I'm a 2-time Helen Hayes Award winning actor (It's like the Tony's, but for the DC-region). I was a professional child actor who more or less made the leap to adult artist unscathed!

Recruit. Reskill. Retain.
At HigherPeople, we view talent development as a full-circle journey. Beyond finding great people, it’s about investing in long-term growth and retention. We primarily partner with early-stage startups (Pre-Seed to Series B) to deliver meaningful talent outcomes. With over 100 placements spanning 40+ roles, industries, and verticals, we provide cost-effective, flexible solutions that allow companies to pay only when hiring needs arise. Instead of bearing fixed and high recruiting costs, our model integrates seamlessly as a scalable, fractional resource that can be activated as needed. Known for our speed, transparency, and proven track record, we are the trusted choice for startups aiming to scale their teams with top-tier talent.
A quick note on how me & my team work: We have a couple options! We do have embedded clients where we charge a monthly retainer based on a number of roles and timeline to fill. We also offer contingency and retained services!

It shows up in:
Town halls where employees tune out
